College of the Canyons Summer Series
Every Thursday from July 10 to August 14, we will be running in the College of the Canyon Summer Series 3-mile races. We will be practicing negative splitting at tempo to threshold pace for the first five races, and then going all-out on the final on August 14.

About the event
This race series offers athletes an ideal chance to practice running at fast paces with negative splits, enhancing self-control and establishing race rhythms. We avoid running these races all-out, as doing so could lead to physical strain, injuries, and burnout before the Fall season starts. The exception is the final race on August 14. With our thorough understanding of the course and our capabilities, we aim to run this one at race pace, still going for negative splits, and strive to earn age group awards.
