Winter Track
Distance Racing Program
For those looking for an introduction to distance running, or those already involved in track who want to prepare for the spring season in the best way possible, Wildfires Elite Endurance Club has a winter track program. This program is focused on training for and competing in six meets spanning the months of December (avoiding the holidays) through the first weekend of February. This program combines athletes from multiple clubs, home school co-ops, middle schools and high schools, in a spirit of commraderie. Any athlete in grades 7-12 is welcome.
ALL-Comers Meets
-
Smaller format than AAU meets, which means they go by much quicker.
-
All age groups can compete in the same race.
-
Mixed sexes in many 3000m heats means females can be paced by males in some instances.
-
Great competition and fully automated timing means it is possible to lay down qualifying times for USATF MS Indoor Nationals and the CA Winter Championships.
